The Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter and Education Center is a non-profit wildlife hospital where injured, sick, and orphaned native North Carolina wildlife is cared for in a professional and compassionate manner. Our mission is to rehabilitate and release the thousands of animals admitted to our clinic each year and to teach fellow North Carolinians how to happily and peacefully coexist with wildlife. OWLS has all the proper permits necessary to legally care for wild animals. We receive no state or federal funding.  It is through the generosity of the public that we have been in business since 1988. Thank you to everyone who has supported OWLS.

Visit us Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays @ 2:00 for an in-depth guided tour.
